The resistance values for the coolant sensor are:
170 - 190 Ohms is level ok
1350 - 1450 Ohms is level low
A zero or infinite resistance reading is a signal of trouble
to the controller and it then blinks the light at startup to alert
you to that fact. Same thing for the windhield washer and brake
pad warnings.
The warning computer sems to be one fo the Merkur weak spots.
